12″ × 6″ × 12″ Tote
Clear tote not exceeding 12″ × 6″ × 12″ (30 × 15 × 30 cm). OR small clutch/wristlet not exceeding 4.5″ × 6.5″ (11 × 16.5 cm). One-gallon clear freezer bag also permitted. Applies to all NFL stadiums, most NCAA venues, and many MLS/NBA arenas. The primary market driver for clear bags.

PVC vs. TPU vs. Vinyl: Which Clear Material Is Right?
Clear bags use a completely different material family than any other bag category. The choice between PVC, TPU, and vinyl determines clarity, flexibility, yellowing resistance, regulatory compliance, eco positioning, and unit cost. We produce in all three materials and recommend based on your target market and compliance requirements.
PVC dominates the clear bag market by volume — it’s the cheapest and most widely available. TPU is the premium and eco-friendlier alternative. Vinyl is a general term that typically refers to PVC-based materials. Understanding the trade-offs prevents costly material mistakes.
PVC (Standard)
Most common, lowest cost. Good initial clarity. Available in 0.3mm, 0.5mm, 0.8mm gauges. Flexible and easy to sew and RF-weld. Phthalate content is a concern for children’s products (California Prop 65, EU REACH). Yellows over time with UV exposure and body-oil contact.
TPU (Premium)
Phthalate-free, more flexible, better yellowing resistance. Higher cost than PVC (approx. 40–60% more). Superior low-temperature flexibility — won’t crack in cold weather. More durable and tear-resistant. Eco-friendlier positioning. Recommended for children’s products, premium brands, and eco-conscious buyers.
Clear Vinyl
General term, usually PVC-based. “Vinyl” in the bag industry almost always means flexible PVC. Confirm material spec (PVC or non-PVC) with your buyer to avoid confusion. Some buyers use “vinyl” and “PVC” interchangeably.
Gauge / Thickness
0.3mm: ultra-thin, budget pouches and TSA bags. 0.5mm: standard for stadium totes and crossbodies (best balance of clarity, flexibility, and durability). 0.8mm+: heavy-duty, structured bags and backpacks. Thicker = more durable but stiffer and higher cost.
Anti-Yellowing
UV stabilizers and anti-yellowing additives extend clarity life from 6–12 months (untreated PVC) to 18–24+ months. TPU naturally resists yellowing better than PVC. Anti-yellowing treatment adds marginal cost but significantly reduces return rates. We recommend it on all clear bags.
Joining Method
RF welding (radio-frequency) — the standard for PVC and TPU clear bags. Creates waterproof, airtight seams without thread. Stronger and cleaner than stitched seams on clear materials. Also available: hot-air welding and ultrasonic welding. Stitching used only for trim-to-clear attachment.

Standard PVC may contain phthalates, which are restricted in children’s products under California Prop 65, EU REACH, and CPSIA. For children’s clear bags, we recommend phthalate-free PVC or TPU. Yes. We can screen-print on the clear PVC/TPU body using reverse printing (print on the interior surface so it’s visible through the clear exterior but protected from wear).
