The Four Levers to Choose a Print Method
At FY Bag Factory, we don’t just print your logo—we help you choose the most suitable method through a structured framework we call the Four Levers: substrate, look & feel, detail level, and order profile. With this system, our professional designers analyze your artwork, materials, and target market to recommend the best printing route. Backed by stable in-house production and strict QC, we ensure every logo application meets brand expectations. This approach has allowed us to consistently deliver on-time orders with over 98% repeat accuracy, making us the trusted OEM/ODM partner for 500+ global brands.
Different surfaces absorb ink, bond, and flex very differently. The substrate is the #1 filter that narrows your viable options.
Implications & best-fit methods:
Leather / PU great for emboss/deboss + foil, UV (on PU/coated panels), discrete screen hits on PU. Watch-outs: grain depth and edge oils can affect fine prints; always strike-off on the real panel.
Canvas / Cotton / Denim takes screen (bold, durable) and embroidery well; digital (DTG/DTF) for multi-color on small runs. Watch-outs: pre-treat for digital; laminations improve flatness for large graphics.
TPU / PVC / Clear best with UV printing (crisp, instant cure) or heat transfer; welded patches also work. Watch-outs: clarity shows any ink bleed; prefer crisp vector art and spot gloss effects.
Coated Papers / Gift Boxes UV excels (spot gloss/texture), foil for premium cues. Watch-outs: manage cracking on folds—place art away from creases.
2.Look & Feel (the brand aesthetic you’re aiming for)
Fine lines · Gradients · Photo-quality · Large solid areas
Artwork itself dictates feasibility. Some methods love big flats; others excel at micro detail.
Implications & best-fit methods:
Fine lines / tiny text / micro icons UV (very sharp), Digital; avoid heavy screen unless mesh/ink are tuned.
Gradients / photo Digital or Sublimation (poly only).
Large solid areas / bold logos Screen (opaque, durable); Embroidery for raised texture on smaller fills.
Monograms / minimal marks on leather/PU Emboss/Deboss, foil.
4.Order Profile (cost structure & MOQ reality)
Tooling fees & setup vs. unit cost · Single-color bulk vs. multi-color small runs
There’s no “best method” without volume and budget. Match printing economics to your business case.
Implications & best-fit methods:
Screen printing Setup/tooling per color; shines at bulk (e.g., ≥500 units/design).
Digital / UV Low setup, fast art swaps; great for pilot runs, collabs, FBA small batches (e.g., 50–500).
Heat transfer / DTF Flexible MOQ, robust on synthetics; mid-volume sweet spot.
Sublimation Works well from mid to larger runs where all-over poly is required.
Emboss/Deboss/foil One-time plate cost; economical if reused across colorways/collections.
How to Customize Your Graphics With Us
Working with FY Bag Factory is simple—we make the process clear and efficient for B2B buyers. To ensure your logo or artwork is perfectly applied on bags, just follow these steps when preparing your customization request
In FY Bag Factory, you can get a faster sampling cycle, fewer revisions, and bulk production that meets both your brand’s design vision and your market deadlines.
Artwork Files Provide vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) or high-resolution raster (300 dpi at print size). Include Pantone or CMYK color references so we can match brand colors precisely.
Placement & Size Indicate where the logo should appear—front panel, strap, lining, or zipper puller—and provide width × height measurements. For full-coverage graphics, add bleed areas and note seams or folds.
Material & Finish Tell us the substrate (PU, canvas, nylon, TPU, etc.) and any finishes (anti-scratch, DWR coating, lamination). This ensures we select the right print method and guarantee durability.
Order Profile Share your order plan—units per SKU, colorways, and target launch date. We’ll recommend the most cost-effective printing route that fits your MOQ and lead time.
We’ll propose Route A (cost-efficient) or Route B (premium finish) so you can decide fast.
At FY Bag Factory, we turn your creative concepts into market-ready products. Simply share your sketches, mood boards, or brand guidelines, and our professional design team will translate them into technical drawings, prototypes, and final production samples. As a full-service OEM/ODM bag factory, we manage everything—from material sourcing and color matching to logo application, quality testing, and FBA- or retail-ready packing. With stable production capacity, strict QC, and more than 500 global brands served, we ensure every order is delivered consistently and on time.
What we need from you
Artwork & brand rules: Vector files (AI/EPS/PDF) or 300 dpi raster at print size; Pantone/CMYK; clear do/don’t (e.g., no gradients for screen print).
Product context: Target substrate (PU, canvas, nylon, TPU…), finish (anti-scratch, DWR, lamination), use scenario (commuter, outdoor, beauty, gift set).
Care expectations: Wash/wipe resistance, abrasion tolerance, handling conditions.
What you will get: A structured intake confirming specs, constraints, and success criteria so we can protect your margins and timelines.
Method Match
We evaluate your project through the Four Levers (Substrate / Look & Feel / Detail Level / Order Profile) and propose 1–2 viable routes:
Route A: Cost-efficient (e.g., screen for bold solids at volume; heat transfer for nylon)
Route B: Premium finish (e.g., UV with spot gloss on PU; sublimation for all-over polyester)
Each route includes:
Expected durability (rub/adhesion), color fidelity, handfeel
MOQ & setup (tooling fees, color count) and lead time ranges
Unit-cost guidance and any risk notes (e.g., coatings that affect adhesion)
you will get a route that fits brand aesthetics and economics.
Color Management
To keep reorders and multi-SKU lines consistent:
Pantone/CMYK workflows: We align shell, print inks, edge-paint, zipper tape, and embroidery threads to your brand palette.
Strike-offs on real substrates: We produce paper or fabric strike-offs (and, where needed, UV/transfer samples on your exact PU/nylon/TPU) for visual approval.
Approval artifacts: We document the final color callouts and retain them for production and future runs.
fewer surprises, photo-ready samples, and consistent color across collections.
Pre-Production Sample
We build a PP sample on the exact materials and finishes:
What we validate: placement & scale, edge clarity (fine text/lines), gradient rendition, surface feel, and any special effects (spot gloss/texture, foil).
Quick stress checks: pull/peel, dry/wet rub on the graphic, flex on transfers, wipe tests on cosmetics/TPU.
Your sign-off: once approved, specs are frozen (art, placement, inks, parameters) to protect production quality.
Deliverables: the PP sample, photos/video under daylight and studio lighting, and a signed spec sheet.
QC Plan
We convert approvals into a factory-ready QC playbook:
Each route includes:
Tests by use case:
Adhesion & rub (dry/wet crocking), abrasion, wash/wipe where relevant.
