Our fleece and faux fur bag production serves buyers driven by seasonal fashion trends, kids’ products, and the growing “cozy luxury” accessories market.

Every other fabric is chosen for durability (nylon), printability (canvas), water resistance (Oxford), or prestige (leather). Fleece and faux fur are chosen because touching them creates an emotional response. Five features define this texture-first category.

Soft, plush, cozy — the tactile feel IS the entire value proposition. No buyer sources fleece for durability or faux fur for water resistance. They source it because the texture creates an emotional response no other fabric delivers.

Fleece and faux fur bags are almost exclusively September–February products. The strongest seasonal demand pattern of any bag fabric. Buyers must plan production 3–4 months ahead of the selling season to hit retail floor sets.

Faux fur and teddy/sherpa bags are the accessory expression of the broader “cozy luxury” fashion movement. Teddy textures have moved from outerwear into accessories — creating a bag sub-category that barely existed five years ago.

Fleece (2–5mm), sherpa/teddy (8–15mm), faux fur (15–40mm+). Pile depth determines visual impact, price tier, and construction complexity. A 3mm fleece tote and a 30mm faux fur clutch are completely different products for different buyers.

Fleece and faux fur are the only fabrics that create convincing “animal” and “character” textures. This makes them the default for kids’ character bags, novelty animal bags, and playful fashion accessories — a niche entirely owned by pile fabrics.
From everyday sherpa totes to statement faux fur clutches, we manufacture across every fleece and faux fur bag format — fashion, kids’, novelty, and seasonal styles all produced in-house.

The #1 fleece bag format. Sherpa or teddy outer (8–15mm pile) with polyester lining and PU leather handles. Open-top or zip-top. The “cozy luxury” everyday tote for fall/winter fashion brands and Amazon sellers.

Long-pile faux fur (15–30mm) clutch with satin or polyester lining and chain strap. The statement evening piece for holiday parties and winter events. Gift-box packaging standard. Highest price-per-unit of any fleece/fur format.

Medium-to-long pile faux fur bucket bag with drawstring or magnetic closure, PU leather trim, and chain or leather strap. The fashion-statement format for “cozy luxury” fall/winter collections.

Fleece or faux fur kids’ backpack shaped as animals, characters, or novelty objects. Embroidered faces, appliqué features, 3D ears/tails. For kids’ product brands, toy companies, and Amazon kids’ categories.

Teddy or sherpa bum bag with adjustable waist strap and zip closure. The “cozy” version of the bum bag trend for fall/winter. For fashion brands, festival merchandise (winter festivals), and Amazon.

Sherpa or teddy zip pouch for cosmetics and toiletries. Gift-set staple and holiday merchandise item. Embroidered or appliqué logo. Pairs with sherpa totes in matched collections.

Long-pile faux fur shoulder bag with chain or leather strap. The maximalist fashion-statement piece for premium winter collections and Instagram/social-media-driven brands.
Pile depth is the defining spec for fleece and faux fur bags — it determines visual impact, tactile feel, construction complexity, and cost. Choosing the right pile depth for your product is the first sourcing decision.
Fleece
2–5 mm
Smooth, soft, lightweight. For everyday totes, kids’ backpacks, cosmetic pouches, and blanket-lined bags. Easiest to sew and construct. Lowest shedding. Lowest material cost. Machine-washable. Retail: $8–20.
Sherpa
8–15 mm
The “teddy bear” texture. Curly or looped pile. The #1 texture for the “cozy luxury” bag trend. For totes, crossbodies, bum bags, and bucket bags. Moderate sewing complexity. The most popular fleece/fur pile depth. Retail: $15–40.
Faux Fur
15–30 mm
Dramatic, fluffy, luxurious. For clutches, evening bags, shoulder bags, and bucket bags. The statement-piece format. Higher sewing complexity — requires walking foot and directional cutting. Higher shedding risk. Retail: $25–60.
Extra Long
30–40+ mm
Maximum drama — shaggy, wild, eye-catching. For premium fashion statements, novelty bags, and Instagram/editorial pieces. Highest construction complexity and material cost. Highest shedding — requires anti-shed treatment. Retail: $40–100+.

Fleece and faux fur bags can’t stand alone — the soft pile fabric needs a structural support material (lining, base, trim) to maintain bag shape and construction integrity. We engineer the pile-to-structure combination at sampling to balance texture, shape, and durability.
Pile fabrics also present unique sewing challenges — fiber shedding, directional cutting, seam bulk, and thread tension — that require specialized equipment and operator experience. Not every bag factory can handle pile fabrics. We’ve been producing them for over a decade.
Pile Types
Polar fleece (2–5mm smooth), sherpa/teddy (8–15mm curly/looped), faux fur (15–30mm straight), faux shearling (bonded to suede base), Mongolian (30–40mm+ shaggy). All 100% polyester pile on knit backing.
Trim Materials
PU leather handles, piping, and base (most popular), chain straps (gold, silver, gunmetal), nylon webbing straps, metal hardware. PU leather trim is the default combination for fashion fleece/fur bags.
Sewing Method
Walking foot or roller foot sewing (prevents pile from jamming under the presser foot). Directional cutting (pile must all face the same direction). Reduced seam allowance to minimize bulk. Seam binding to contain loose fibers.
Anti-Shed Treatment
Backing reinforcement, edge sealing, and lint-roller finishing on all long-pile (15mm+) faux fur products. Shedding is the #1 quality complaint on faux fur bags — we address it at production, not after customer complaints.
Color Range
Neutrals (cream, beige, tan, brown, black, grey), pastels (blush, baby blue, lavender), brights (hot pink, red, emerald), animal prints (leopard, zebra, cow), and custom Pantone-dyed. Cream, beige, and brown are the #1 colors for teddy/sherpa bags.
Every fleece and faux fur bag leaves our Guangzhou factory fully customized. In-house design, pile-fabric cutting, specialty sewing, anti-shed processing, and QC. Sample turnaround in 5–7 days.

Fleece and faux fur bags require specialized material combinations and sewing techniques. We source from 200+ verified suppliers for pile fabrics, trim, and structural support materials.

FY Bag Custom operates its own vertically integrated factory in Guangzhou — design, sampling, pile-fabric cutting, specialty sewing, anti-shed treatment, and QC all under one roof. Fleece and faux fur require specialized sewing equipment (walking foot machines, adjusted tension settings) and operator training (directional cutting, pile-bulk management) that we’ve refined over 10+ years of production.
Our fleece/fur production shares trim and hardware sourcing with our leather bag and handbag lines — the same PU leather handles, chain straps, and metal hardware used on fashion handbags go on our fleece and faux fur bags.

Pre-Shipment Inspection
Pile-fabric bags face unique QC risks — fiber shedding, pile-direction misalignment, seam-bulk popping, lining separation from pile, and color variation between fabric rolls. Our 6-stage QC targets each one. Third-party inspections (SGS, BV, TUV) welcome.

Pile depth measured (±1mm tolerance). Pile density, color match, and shedding level tested. Backing quality and stretch recovery checked. Trim materials — PU leather color, chain finish — verified against approved swatches.

PPS delivered in 5–7 days with final pile fabric, lining, trim, and hardware. Mass production starts only after your written sign-off on pile texture, color, shedding level, and overall construction.

All pattern pieces cut with pile running in the same direction (nap consistency). Pile depth uniformity checked across cut panels. Edge sealing on long-pile faux fur to prevent fraying at cut edges.

Walking-foot seam quality verified. Seam bulk managed — no popping or thread breakage at multi-layer intersections. Anti-shed treatment applied and tested on all faux fur products (15mm+ pile). Lint-roller finish pass.

Every finished fleece/fur bag inspected one by one — pile texture, nap direction, shedding, seam quality, trim attachment, hardware function, lining, label placement. Not sampled, not skipped.

Individually polybag-packed (critical — pile fabrics attract dust and lint). Container loading photos and videos sent within 24 hours. Carton counts and shipping marks documented.
Seasonal timing is critical: order by June–July for September retail floor sets. Pile-fabric bags take 25–35 days in bulk due to specialty sewing and anti-shed processing.

Straight answers to the questions bulk-order buyers ask most often about custom pile-fabric bag production.
Fleece is short-pile (2–5mm), smooth, lightweight — the everyday option. Sherpa/teddy is medium-pile (8–15mm), curly or looped — the “cozy luxury” trend texture. Faux fur is long-pile (15–40mm+), straight or shaggy — the dramatic statement option. All are 100% polyester pile on a knit backing. We produce all three and can advise which works for your product.
Some shedding is normal for faux fur (especially 15mm+ pile). We apply anti-shed backing treatment, edge sealing, and lint-roller finishing on all long-pile products to minimize shedding. Shorter-pile fleece and sherpa have minimal shedding. If shedding is a critical concern, we recommend sherpa (8–15mm) over long-pile faux fur.
For September retail floor sets: order by June, production July–August, ship late August. For Q4 Amazon holiday peak: order by July, ship by October. Fleece and faux fur bags have the strongest seasonal demand pattern of any bag fabric — timing is critical.
MOQ depends on pile type, bag format, and trim complexity. Standard sherpa totes with PU leather handles have moderate MOQs. Kids’ character bags with embroidered details and 3D features have higher MOQs. Contact us with your product and quantity for a specific confirmation.
Yes — kids’ plush character bags are one of our specialty products. Animal shapes (bears, bunnies, foxes, unicorns), embroidered faces, appliqué ears and tails, 3D padded features. Fleece or short faux fur outer with nylon lining and padded straps. We design the character construction during sampling.
Fleece (short-pile) bags are generally machine-washable on cold/gentle cycle. Sherpa can be machine-washed but may lose some curl definition. Long-pile faux fur should be spot-cleaned only — machine washing may mat the pile. We provide care instructions matched to your pile type.
Yes. FNSKU labeling, Amazon-compliant polybag packaging, and carton labeling handled at our Guangzhou factory. Direct to FBA warehouses in the US, EU, UK, and other markets.
